2019 was the year Treverity went global. One of the key successes of the year for us has been the work we were able to accomplish outside of the USA, with a set of worldwide utilities.
In early April, we were invited to participate in the Free Electrons boot camp, selected from hundreds of companies that applied. Ten utilities from across the globe gathered in Dublin to meet with scale-up companies such as Treverity. In a previous post, we have already noted the excitement from being in the room with scale-ups from around the globe. The participating utilities brought full teams, sometimes up to ten people. In that one week, we were able to have an impact that typically takes months to achieve.
Following Free Electrons, we were invited to participate in the Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA) to pitch the Dubai Electric and Water Authority (DEWA). Across several weeks we had the opportunity to work closely with DEWA operations team. The configuration of our software to this new international client was straightforward. That process resulted in a successful proof of concept (POC). We are now engaged in commercial contract discussions.
While in Dubai we had the opportunity to engage with the Dubai Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where we expanded our understanding of the impact predicted by new technologies like AI, Blockchain, etc. Treverity’s focus on Human Integration Software fits into these trends and the whole thesis of the 4IR identifies impact upon the human operators. You can see me talking about how Treverity fits into the fourth industrial revolution here.
During that same DFA process we met with etisalat, a global telecom giant with over 150 million customers, and Treverity was invited to deliver a POC of our solution for them. In November, we joined the FutureNow program, and we have deployed a POC of our Utility InsightTM product to enhance the capabilities of the operations and customer service teams, that is able to deliver situational awareness across millions of data records from multiple enterprise systems.
That above list does not include our continuing relationships with our great US electric & gas utility partners, nor does it celebrate the partnerships that we developed with consulting organizations that we rely on for customer engagement.
So, it has been an exciting year, but ultimately it was the only the prologue for 2020. We expect to deliver full scale applications derived from a base of operations in the UAE, and this is a significant milestone for Treverity’s expansion internationally.
